NoteScored is operated by Compel Inner-Province LLC (“NoteScored,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through notescored.com, our application, and related services.
NoteScored helps churches manage contribution counting, review and approval, contributor records, contribution letters, and supporting financial documents.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to website visitors, church customers, authorized users, contributors, donors, beneficiaries, and individuals who complete forms through NoteScored.
A church may enter information about you even if you do not have a NoteScored account.
Churches generally determine why their contributor, member, and financial-document information is collected. NoteScored processes that information to provide services to the church.
Churches maintain their own privacy practices. This policy does not replace a church’s responsibility to explain how it collects and uses your information.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features used, we may collect:
Church and account information: Church names, addresses, contact details, logos, settings, user names, email addresses, roles, and account status.
Contributor information: Names, contact information, member or visitor status, dates of birth when provided, and payment identifiers used to associate contributions with individuals.
Contribution records: Donation dates, amounts, categories, payment methods, cash counts, check details, electronic transaction references, imported records, and supporting evidence.
Financial and tax information: Church bank routing and account numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, payer EINs, tax-year information, and generated tax documents.
Forms and supporting documents: Honorarium records, benevolence requests, expenses, reimbursements, receipts, uploaded files, signatures, and approval decisions.
Payment and subscription information: Subscription status, transaction references, processor identifiers, and related billing information. Online card payments are collected through the payment processor’s interface.
Technical and operational information: Browser and device information, network request information, session credentials, preferences, timestamps, selected audit events, and diagnostic records.
Communications: Support requests, messages, and information submitted through enabled email or text-message workflows.
We receive information directly from individuals, from churches and their authorized users, from uploaded files and imports, from service providers, and automatically through use of the service.
Some information is required for a particular workflow; other information is optional. Church membership, giving history, benevolence details, signatures, bank information, and tax identifiers may be particularly sensitive.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Establish and administer accounts, authenticate users, and manage permissions.
Operate counting, reconciliation, approval, reporting, and document workflows.
Associate contributions with contributors and prepare church-authorized letters and exports.
Process subscriptions and support enabled online-giving and messaging features.
Preserve approval history and selected audit records.
Provide support, diagnose problems, and maintain and secure the service.
Investigate misuse, protect rights, and comply with legal obligations.
Processing may rely on the church’s lawful instructions, performance of an agreement, legal obligations, legitimate operational interests, or consent where required. A church must establish an appropriate legal basis for information it submits, including sensitive information.
4. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information or provide identifiable church giving records to third parties for independent advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.
We may disclose information:
Within your church: To authorized church users according to their permissions and the applicable workflow. Certain administrator and verifier permissions include access to sensitive forms and tax documents.
To service providers: For hosting, authentication, storage, payment processing, email, text messaging, maintenance, and support.
At an authorized person’s direction: For exports, document delivery, integrations, or other requested functions.
For legal and security purposes: To comply with law or valid legal process, investigate misuse, or protect people, property, and legal rights.
During a business transaction: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
Providers may include Lovable Cloud and applicable subprocessors, Stripe, Twilio, and email-delivery providers. External font services may receive network and device information when fonts load. Payment and communications providers may also process information under their own privacy notices.
5. Access and Security
NoteScored uses shared infrastructure with church-scoped records and authorization controls designed to limit access according to church membership, role, and workflow.
Stored full bank routing and account numbers and stored tax identifiers receive application-level encryption. This does not mean every field, exported report, or downloaded document is individually encrypted or inaccessible to privileged infrastructure personnel.
Authorized support, maintenance, and infrastructure operations may require access to information. Some documents use temporary access links. A link may be usable by anyone who possesses it while valid, and its expiration does not erase previously downloaded copies.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Churches and users must protect credentials, devices, invitations, document links, downloads, and printed records. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. We will provide security-incident notices when required by applicable law.
6. Cookies and Browser Storage
We and our providers use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar mechanisms to maintain sign-in sessions, remember preferences, support church selection, and operate the service.
Browser settings may let you restrict or clear this storage. Doing so may affect sign-in or other features. Where applicable law requires consent for optional technologies, those technologies must be subject to the required choices.
7. Retention and Deletion
We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide services, carry out church instructions, preserve financial and approval records, resolve disputes, maintain security, and satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Retention depends on the record type, account relationship, church instructions, and legal requirements. Removing a user’s church access does not necessarily delete their login, signatures, or historical participation.
Approved financial records may require correction through annotations or superseding records rather than ordinary deletion. Backups and provider logs may retain information after removal from active systems. NoteScored cannot erase copies independently downloaded or printed by others.
Account cancellation does not itself establish a guaranteed deletion date or continued-access period.
8. Your Requests and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, a copy, deletion, restriction, an objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal.
For information maintained on behalf of a church, contact that church first. You may also contact NoteScored, and we will respond directly or coordinate with the responsible church as appropriate.
We may verify your identity and authority before acting. Rights may be subject to lawful exceptions, including required financial-record retention and protection of other individuals’ information.
Do not send full Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or unprotected tax documents in an ordinary email request.
9. Children’s Information
NoteScored’s account and administrative functions are intended for adults acting on behalf of churches. The service is not directed to children under 13.
Church records may include information about minors. Churches must have appropriate authority and provide legally required notices and permissions before submitting that information. Parents or guardians with concerns should contact the church and may also contact us.
10. Processing Locations
Information may be processed where NoteScored and its providers operate. We do not promise that all information remains in a particular state or country. Transfers subject to legal restrictions must use the safeguards required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
