How it works

Seven simple steps from the offering plate to the bank.

  1. 1

    Open a count session

Your administrator picks the service date and assigns Counter 1, Counter 2 and a Verifier — three different people, every time.

  2. 2

    Counter 1 enters envelopes

Each envelope's contributor, declared total and categories (Tithe, Offering, Building Fund…) plus any checks.

  3. 3

    Counter 2 counts the money

Bills and coins by denomination, plus CashApp and Zelle gifts — typed in or imported from a file.

  4. 4

    NoteScored reconciles

Each envelope is checked against what was actually counted. Anything off by even a penny is flagged.

  5. 5

    Both counters acknowledge and submit

The count is locked as a snapshot so nothing can change after it leaves the room.

  6. 6

    The Verifier signs

An independent reviewer approves with a signature — or sends it back with notes.

  7. 7

    Print and deposit

A clean final report and a filled-in deposit ticket, ready for the bank and your records.

Enterprise feature

QR code and text-to-give, counted for you.

Each Enterprise church gets its own giving page, QR code and text-to-give number. Members scan or text, enter an amount and pay by card — no app or account. Gifts go straight to your church's bank account and appear automatically in your next count session, ready for your counters and Verifier to approve.

Setup is three guided steps: fill in the secure bank form, flip giving on and print your QR code, then type an area code for your text number. Card processing fees (about 2.9% + 30¢ per gift) come out of each gift.

Dual Control Counting Room

Greater accuracy and accountability in every count.

NoteScored requires a minimum of two counters in each counting session, with a third person serving as verifier to help identify discrepancies and confirm totals.

  • • Each counter needs an internet-connected device. Computers and laptops are recommended, while iPads and Android tablets offer convenient alternatives when a computer is unavailable.
  • • Every counting session requires two counters before it can be completed.
